artist ster borgman created a greenhouse of glass panels pigmented with rust for their graduation project last year. their interest in natural pigments and the fascinating chemical transformation by rust lead them to this project. by working on the glass instead of the metal frame, the pigmented glass made the overgrowing quality of rust visible in a intriguing way.

after putting black rust pigment in between two original greenhouse glass panels and putting it back in the oven at 800˚C the rust almost explodes to its final and unique pattern of deep brown-red and purple colours.

the panels have two hooks to hang it in front of the wall or window.
